How to export Survey results to Microsoft Excel

I regularly create surveys in SharePoint for various things but today I was asked to export the results of an old survey into Excel so that the data can be used elsewhere.  I haven’t done this before but after a quick look around I realised how easy it is to do.  If you need to know how, just follow these follow the steps below:

1.    Open the list of surveys

2.    Click on the required survey

3.    From the Actions menu choose Export to Spreadsheet

Export_to_Spreadsheet

4.    Click OK to the message about having a compatible application

Message_From_Webpage

5.    Click Open to view the exported file

Download_File

6.    If warned about a potential security concern, click Enable

Security_Notice

7.    You can now manipulate your survey results in Excel
