Using Microsoft Project to plan a SharePoint deployment

I was using Microsoft Project the other day and discovered it includes a template for a SharePoint Server 2007 deployment.  Even though it was written for SharePoint 2007 I think it can still be used to plan a SharePoint 2010 deployment as a lot of the planning steps are still applicable.

Broken down into three main phases, the plan covers evaluation, planning and deployment.

Some minor changes are required to make it work with SharePoint 2010 but it certainly makes a good starting point.
